MMS Administration

Dr. Phillip Thornton brings over 15 years of experience in education, including the last eight in school administration. Most recently, he served as Principal of Eastland Middle School, where he led campus improvement efforts and built strong relationships with staff, students, and the community. Prior to that, he was an administrator at Northwest High School, where he supported academic and extracurricular success at the high school level.

Dr. Thornton is passionate about building a positive school culture, supporting teachers, and ensuring student success. He and his wife Tacy, who have been married for 15 years, are proud parents of two boys Carter and Cole. He is excited about joining the Millsap community and the upcoming school year.
